No, non-service animals, including emotional support animals, are not allowed in the airport terminal unless they are traveling with their owner/handler. If they are traveling, TXK requests the owner to always have travel paperwork on-hand.
Non-service animals must be kept in a carrier, carried, or restrained by a leash no longer than 5-feet long. TXK requests the owner/handler to always maintain control of their animal while on airport property.
If an animal exhibits aggressive behavior or poses a threat to the health and safety of others, the owner must immediately place the animal in a carrier or remove it from the airport terminal.
All animals must be house-broken. The owner is responsible for cleaning up and reporting any mess left by the animal.
An airport terminal is a busy and noisy environment. TXK has seen an increase in animals in the facility that has resulted in congestion, safety, and sanitation issues. Due to this activity, it is not a pet-friendly location and airport visitors who are picking up friends and family need to leave their pets at home.
This does not apply to trained service animals used by an individual with a disability, or any law enforcement animals of a federal, state, or local agency in performance of their duties.

The ability for us to attract more airlines and add destinations depends solely on the usage of TXK and its existing air service by the community. The more usage by the community, the more airlines will take notice of the well-performing passenger loads and will want to expand/grow their operation at TXK to meet the demand. In other words, we need YOU to support TXK so we can grow and become a better airport for the region!
