Dallas

Everything really is bigger in Texas! Dallas, the nation’s ninth-largest city, continues to grow as a state treasure, full of ways to have a good time.

Known for its high concentration of restaurants, take some time to visit the Downtown area for a large selection of great culinary treats. Dallas is also home to many other cultural hotspots with great restaurant selections, such as the Katy Trail Ice House and Truck Yard. Then, head over to the Galleria and NorthPark Center to take advantage of extensive shopping opportunities with ample selections.

A tragic event, but one to always remember and honor, Dallas is where President John F. Kennedy was tragically shot in 1963. Visitors can experience The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza and be a part of President Kennedy’s advancements in America’s space program and fight for equality during the Civil Rights Movement. Located in the former Texas School Book Depository building facing the plaza from which the assassin allegedly shot, see photos, and reflect on the somber day when we lost an American Hero.

You may have heard of “America’s Team” and their large following. Well, visiting Dallas allows you to see the breathtaking home of the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium and cheer them on to their victory. Other professional sports teams include the Texas Rangers (baseball), Dallas Mavericks (basketball), Dallas Stars (ice hockey), and FC Dallas (soccer).

For those wanting to experience the outdoors and moderate weather, there are several lakes in and around the city that provide outdoor recreational opportunities; White Rock Lake, a reservoir in the northeastern part of the city, is surrounded by parkland that includes an arboretum.

Let TXK get you to this City full of endless opportunities. Fly nonstop to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) on American Airlines from TXK.
